A Quick Way To Check The Popularity Of Any Item
is to go to Google, click on preferences on the right of the search bar, then scroll down to Query Suggestions. Check the box that enables suggestions, then make sure you save your preferences.
Now you can go to the search bar, enter an item you’re curious about using for a possible niche and without hitting enter or return, a bunch of related search items come up below your word of interest. Now the nice thing here is, not only do these other keywords come up, but they tell you how many web pages have those key words associated with them.
What do all the following have in common: Obama smoking. Hawaii Vacation. Golf Outing. Going to the Gym?
If you guessed the top searches on Yahoo! Buzz right now you’d win the prize. Everyone is freaking out over the President-elects’ recent photos. They can be viewed here at bauergriffinonline.com. Surely there’s a lucrative niche to be found in all of this somewhere.
Can you tell what it is?
The President-elect no longer smokes and hasn’t missed a morning workout in the past two years. That’s amazing considering the campaign schedule he’s had to endure, not to mention having a wife and two children.

Armed with the information as to what consumers are searching for right now enables us to take advantage of that by creating a niche for their wants. Many of the sites below are updated every hour and some as much as every five minutes. Once you’ve found that perfect little niche, you’re ready to let the world in on your secret. Hmmmm. Now at this point, you might be asking yourself, ‘Where do I start?’ How many of you have put your exact website name into Google search and it came up number 1? Alright, very good you’re thinking. Now search for keywords that other people might use to find what your site offers. What? You can’t find your sight in Google. Try Yahoo. Same thing? AHHHH, Mother of God! What’s going on!!!?? I can’t find my site anywhere. Well, there’s alot going on, actually, but titles and keywords are what we want to focus on. First and foremost, if you’re building a blog, grab a free WordPress blog. Google loves WordPress! With wordPress you can go two different routes. You can use WordPress.com but your URL will have ‘wordpress’ in it and will look like this, www.yourdomainname.wordpress.com or you can do what 100% of all successful professionals do and obtain a webhost, (HostGator is 100% recommended by the green community) then create a domain name at GoDaddy.com and host that name through your webhost. Now you have a serious, professional looking site right off the bat. You still utilize the awesome WordPress blogs, but now instead WordPress.com you’re going to be using WordPress.org. Once you’ve set your blog up through WordPress and you’re writing your posts, each post will have its own title and keywords associated with it. It is these keywords and titles that google and the other major search engines look for in your site when a search is performed on the topic of your blog.
