Passion! That’s how you become successful making the big money. That’s the lucrative beauty of niche blogging. You write about what you get excited about. The products and advertising and everything else that goes along with making the big paychecks in niche markets will follow. Have a dream. Have a goal. Believe in it and it will unfold. Stick with me and you’ll learn how to:

  • Find a successful niche market
  • What it will take to get your niche market site up and running (surprising little)
  • When you can expect revenue to start coming in, and
  • A very close start-up cost estimate

I just want to touch on bullet number four here for a second. If you believe any of the hundreds of self proclaimed ‘Gods’ and ‘Gurus’ that promise you $250,000 in the first six minutes of signing up with them, then I hope that you’ve come to your senses and that’s why you’re here and realized that if it sounds too good to be true, then you know it is! The sad truth is 80% of these people are making awesome money. But they’re making it by suckering you in and by preying on the weak. They’re making money off the product being sold NOT from the results of actually using that product. That’s a very important concept to grasp. Now, back to the theme here! Niche markets are everywhere. From bullet number one, in order to find a successful niche market, one doesn’t have to look any further than to where your own passions lie. That’s the beauty of successful niche marketing which brings us to rule number one.

RULE NUMBER 1: You’re passions rule your niche. Your niche does not rule your passions.

Notice I said, ‘passions‘, as in more than one. I bring that up because once you begin to identify with your true passions, the more niche stores you will be successfully building. So do yourself a favor. If it’s not quiet right now where you sit. If the kids are running around like crazy and the dreaded television is blaring in the background, or you just stumbled upon my page and you only have a second then bookmark this page so you can return when it is quiet. Return when you have a moment to look inside yourself. Now would be a great time to grab pen and paper. But don’t just grab anything. Find your favorite pen. You know the one. The one that feels so comfortable to hold and writes so nice and effortlessly. Don’t skimp on the paper either. Use a full sheet instead of some ripped up piece of scrap paper and begin to write down the things that you are most passionate about. Here’s some suggetions that’ll help you do just that:

  • Look truthfully at the stuff in you that you have to get out.

For example: You see a three year old bee-bopping around inside an SUV that’s under way. When you both get stopped at a light. You sub-consciously just rip into the driver and explain to them how dangerous that is and to get that child buckled up! You could be passionate towards child safety which would lend itself to a niche in Child Safety Restraints.

  • Look for the things that make you feel alive!

If that happens to be boxing then a niche could be: Sporting Goods. Professional Car Racing: how about Apparell ie., racing jackets or just racing memorabilia. Talking to old friends? Try reunion organizations. Like watching COPS on tv? How about a daily mug-shot niche. with a special page for celebs past and present? Attorneys would advertise all over that site I’m sure.

  • Explore what your beliefs are and what you believe in.

Maybe you lean more towards the metaphysical side. How much money do you think ‘The Secret’ and all it’s little niches brought it? Millions.

  • What defines you?

Are you a survivor? Huge niche potential!

  • Find the area in your life that you’re an expert in and then exploit it. (Believe me, you may not think you’re an expert in anything at this point, but you’ll soon be thinking quite the contrary!)

Those are just a few ways to find great niches. Soon the ideas will be flowing out of you as your passions become realizations. Now don’t get me wrong. You could start your own little niche market without doing one ounce of soul searching. And you know what? You’d probably do alright. At first. But then as things get tedious, monotonous and strenuous, guess what happens. You start to lose interest. Now you’re posting less and less and before you know it, it becomes more and more of a J-O-B. Once this becomes just like every other job, your little market’s done. It’ll suffer and quicker than you can say, ‘Dead in the water’, your customers will have all swam up a different stream. And you know why? Because your customers are hungry. They’re always hungry. Trust me. And trust this: They will not sit in your pond and starve to death waiting for little tidbits. They will leave in search of food and they will leave in droves. It’s just human nature. If this has already happened to you, don’t worry, we’ll get them all back and in enormously big fassion.
